Many of our customers have
asked us about Nutratose from TechMedica Health. So
we looked into Nutratose:
We found their customer service to be very friendly
and polite, although the hold time sometimes exceeds
5 minutes.
As you read the info below, please keep in mind that
we are a major competitor of TechMedica Health and
therefore biased, so we invite you to call TechMedica
Health and ask them the same questions that we asked
their customer service.
Please note: We repeatedly requested that since the
customer service reps could not answer our questions
that they refer us to a product specialist or medical
professional who could answer our questions. The customer
service department said that there was no medical
professional or product specialist there for us to
speak with. We also asked that they give us the names
of the researchers and of the universities that had
done all of the research mentioned on the websites
- unfortunately the customer service department could
not provide names of any universities or researchers
that had studied Nutratose.
Keeping this in mind, their websites (TechMedica.com
and MicroNutra.com) say that:
1- Nutratose is "globally
acclaimed" - We asked their customer
support team which people/publications had acclaimed
or endorsed Nutratose. The customer service rep couldn't
name any for us or tell us where to go to find these
endorsements. She suggested that by "globally
acclaimed" the website might mean "ships
globally".
2- Nutratose is the
"very first complete fusion of all eight essential
glyconutrients" - Nutratose
is one of many products on the market which claims
to have all eight essential glyconutrients. To see
for yourself just do a search for the term "glyconutrients"
on google.com or on search.yahoo.com . They are certainly
not the first - more likely just the most recent.
Further we asked to see the test results proving that
all eight glyconutrients are in Nutratose as TechMedica
Health claims. The customer service rep said that
since the product is patent-pending, they could not
show us these test results.
3- Nutratose is "quickly
absorbed, directly through the epithelial lining of
your digestive tract" - Once
again we asked if they could show us research proving
this or tell us where to find the research. The customer
service rep didn't know of any research and was unable
to tell us where we might look for the research. So
we looked on PubMed.com for research on Nutratose
and found nothing.
4- Nutratose "has
over twice the absorption ability of anything else
available" and "delivered over 300% more
of the crucial ingredients" -
We asked if we could see TechMedica Health's research
or figures backing these statements, but the customer
service rep said that TechMedica could not release
the results of this study because it would not be
right towards their competitors. Despite this their
websites repeatedly compare Nutratose to products
such as "regular MLM complex powder AND their
advanced MLM complex" and "MLM glyco-product".
5- University of Arkansas
Mass Spectrometry Center - We looked
on the University of Arkansas' website in vain for
even a mention of Nutratose. The customer service
rep at TechMedica Health said these results could
not be released since Nutratose is patent-pending.
6- "Over a period
of six months, Nutratose™ is seven times more
effective than the leading phyto-glyconutrient product"
- We asked to see this test and also
asked what was the leading glyconutrient product that
TechMedica Health had tested. We were told that in
fairness to their competitor, they could not give
out this information.
7- "Double blind
placebo-controlled clinical studies
on hundreds of patients reported significantly reduced
symptoms with zero side-effects." - We asked
the customer service supervisor if she could show
us a copy of this study or tell us where we could
find a copy. She said that she could not do either
because the R&D department had not "released"
the study yet. When we asked, "Why would the
R&D department not release such a compelling study?",
the supervisor said that perhaps the R&D department
had not yet finished the study.
We found that another
competitor of ours (and of TechMedica Health's) -
MicroHealthSolutions had a similar experience with
TechMedica Health in regard to Nutratose. Here is
what they said:
EXTREMELY DISTURBING is the fact there is absolutely
NO ingredient list for Nutratose posted anywhere on
their website. It is against the law to NOT DISCLOSE
ingredients for dietary supplements. As emailed via
Nutratose customer service, find the ingredient list
for Nutratose posted below.
THE CONSUMER is expertly
marketed a 60 count bottle of capsules. What is the
capsule size? This information is disclosed nowhere
on their website. The consumer MUST be privy to this
information as well. According to documents emailed
via Nutrotose customer service, the capsule size is
850 mgs.
ECONOMICS: Simple math. 60 - 850 mgs capsules = packaging
with LESS THAN 60 grams of material. For $67.00? Even
at the graduated “giveaway” offered by
Nutratose, buy 5 get 5 free, the consumer still ONLY
gets 510 grams of material for $335.00.
INGREDIENTS: Predominately mushrooms and the DREADED
Glucosamine Sulphate which is derived from shellfish.
Shellfish allergies are rampant and may also prove
devastatingly harmful. This fact of course renders
the product unusable for vegetarians and vegans alike.
THE LAW: Guidelines have been put in place by the
both the FDA and an organization called DSHEA regarding
disclosure of ingredients. Mannose, galactose etc
as featured on the Nutratose website are complex sugars,
natural derivatives of whole foods. They are NOT ingredients.
THE GRAPH showing ALL * saccharides exist. This is
a piece of worthless information. However, it may
be impressive to the uneducated consumer.
PRODUCT BASHING: To bash and otherwise publicly blemish
another company and its products is poor business
as featured on their website with regard to the “Leading
MLM Product.” One can only assume the company
they are referring to is M.annatech which has excellent
products.
DOSAGE: Those of you familiar with Glyco dosing are
aware that in many cases a unique situation will require
up to 2 (sometimes 3) tablespoons per day. That leaves
the consumer swallowing 6-800 capsules of Nutratose
monthly. Provided it indeed does offer benefits to
the consumer.
SUPERIOR ABSORPTION CLAIMS; Techmedica, the company
that produces Nutratose has been unable to offer any
third party research against our products or any other
glyconutrient product that demonstrates without a
doubt their product is indeed more absorbable. If
this would be the case, one would assume that a company
would be pleased to publicly post this research.
TechMedica, the company behind Nutratose is heavy
into infomercial marketing to peddle their wares.
We were contacted by the person in charge of their
infomercials who of course had a few questions for
us.
WE CHOOSE to NOT engage in sultry business practices
as demonstrated by TechMedica and associates. For
those of you who have come to know us, you understand
how dedicated we are to each and every one of our
customers.
FINALLY, a company with integrity conducts business
in an equally integrous manner. We ALL must operate
under the confines of the law all the while demonstrating
proper decorum. Techmedica has been officially served
by M.annatech, Inc.
We apologize for the behavior of a company that is
supposedly run by professional medical personnel.
We find these current and most unique circumstances
daunting and disturbing. These behaviors often make
it difficult for those conducting themselves in a
professional and ethical manner. The old saying, “one
bad apple spoils the bunch” has never rang more
accurate.
Sincerely,
MicroHealthSolutions
